Connecting Students and Mentors through Technology

About

Our Method

Online instruction allows us to connect skilled mentors to our clients when and where it is most convenient for them

One-to-One instruction means our Mentors will get to know our client’s goals, struggles and motivations. Every session is tailored to the client's strengths and weaknesses.

Socratic instruction is the ancient practice of teaching by asking questions. Our clients will discover math  in a way that leads to independence and understanding.

Mentoring vs Tutoring

Traditional tutoring focuses on teaching material for a short term goal. A tutor will teach you enough algebra to pass an exam. Academic Mentoring is different in its focus, method and goals.

Our Mentors are not here to teach you a specific subject. Rather they are trained to teach you how to learn any subject. They will do this by not telling you the answers, but rather asking you the questions you need in order to discover the answer on your own. Along the way, you will build your own learning skills that you will apply to your next academic or professional task- without needing us anymore.
